Valentines 2020 with Twistoon

I can't believe I am actually EARLY with my Valentines for this year! The idea just popped into my head with the cute  Progressive Monster from Lisa Cree of Twistoon (formerly Bloobel). Actually, all of her monsters (and other images) are cute and fun. I had to  make nine (9!!!) Valentine's cards for my grandkids, nieces and nephews, so I thought paper-piecing would be fun and easy (what was I thinking??). Although only coloring (with Copic markers) their legs, arms and teeth wasn't bad, cutting out all that fur with the jagged edge took a little bit of time - even the little tuft of fur on top of his head! I tried to make pink monsters for the girls (3) and red monsters for the boys (6). I'll only show you 6 of them here because the other three are duplicates of some of these. The inside of each card has a different riddle for each of the kids. Take a look and let me know which is your favorite!

Have a super-fun Valentine's Day!

#1 Guy

I usually try to title my posts with the name of the image I'm using, but today's image is from Doctor Digi and called World's Best Dad. I used it for a friend who is turning 101, so I changed "DAD" on the shirt to "GUY" and instead of "TEA" on the mug I put "SCOTCH." Our friend used to drink scotch in his younger days (maybe that's why he's such a young fella!). I colored the image with Copic markers and used Glossy Accents on the glasses and mug. I added a button as an embellishment and the layout is from The Outlawz Challenges Wednesday Sketch Challenge. Take a look at my card and think about all the things he's seen in his lifetime!
Have a great day and may we all live to see 101 and more!

50's Sweetheart

Boy, that weekend went by too fast! Today I'm going to show you a shaker card I used to make an Anniversary card for my parents. The image is from The Greeting Farm and is called 50s Sweetheart. It is a digital stamp. My mom's favorite color is lavender so that was my main color. I used Copic markers to color the image and my Silhouette Cameo to make the diecut window for the shaker element. I added a glitter strip for them to stand on, some twine and a little striped stick-on embellishment for the bow in her hair. Fun and super easy! Take a look and let me know what you think!
Have a rockin' day!

Chibi Flowerpot Peeker

I've been really busy this month with cards - and I still have a few more to go! I'll start with the Outlawz Progressive Freebie Challenge this month. The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and is called Chibi Flowerpot Peeker. I have a TON of their stamps and they are all really great and easy to color. I printed the image and colored it and then I thought I could cut it out at some funny angles so it would be shaped like a hexagon (the pink one). BUT, my sides were all uneven and I couldn't salvage it, so I hurried and colored up another one (the yellow one) and used the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge as my inspiration for the layout. And then I thought, why not try cutting around the first one I colored and use the same layout - IT WORKED! So I ended up with 2 cards I can use for just about any occasion! Good thing I didn't trash the first one right away! The little paper that is on the front of the flowerpot is blank, so I added the little "HI!." I colored them with Copic markers and used paper I had in my stash. Take a look and let me know what you think!

I'll get back in a day or two with a couple of other cards I've made. I hope the New Year is off to a great start for you!
