Warm Hugs Warms Hearts

I hope this finds everyone well and looking forward to the Holidays! This is kind of a non-traditional Christmas card for me. I thought I would try some different colors, not the usual red and green stuff! This snow couple is So Stinkin' Cute! The image is called Warm Hugs Warm Hearts and was drawn by Heather Valentin. All of her images are just adorable, from whimsical, fantasy, clowns, children, a little of something for everyone! Her website is called Colour Of Love, formerly Lacy Sunshine. Please do check it out!
I continue to practice my coloring skills with my Copic markers and classes from Kit and Clowder. I think it will always be a work in progress! But if you've ever wanted to learn to color with either markers or pencils (any brands will work, because she has conversion charts, too!), you should check out the classes on Kit and Clowder.
Have a wonderful Merry Christmas and joyful New Year!

Fairy Magic

My great niece's birthday was today, so I can show you the birthday card I made her. I used a Some Odd Girl digital stamp called Fairy Magic. And, I have to admit I copied a card layout by Therese Dahl, a design team member for Some Odd Girl digis. I used Copic markers to color the image, wings and grass, and a white gel pen for the dots on the grass. I am still working on my coloring lessons from Kit and Clowder. Practice, practice, practice! Take a look at my card:
I first tried Wink of Stella for glitter on the wings, but it wasn't enough, so I went with Stickles. Hope you enjoy my card!
Have a fairy beautiful day!

Dreamy Fox

This month, October, the Outlawz Progressive Freebie Challenge featured a beautiful image from MMedel Illustrations called Dreamy Fox. I decided to take a left turn on this one and make it an Arctic Fox for something different. I changed the line color to light blue, used some light blue Copic markers to shade it here and there, cut it out and used some winter landscape diecuts for the background. It really was a simple card, but I think looks great for a winter scene and just about any sentiment will work! Take a look -
Have a great day and Happy Halloween!

Halloween Ghosts

Well Halloween is fast approaching and so I did quick and easy cards this year. I used ribbon to make a ghost, then added an orange bow for the girl cards and fringed some colorful ribbon to use as hair for the boy cards. I added googly eyes, some stickers and a diecut on Halloween paper. The ribbon for the ghosts is cut at the bottom in a "v." Take a look!

Super easy!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Ms. Scarecrow With Squirrels

This month's image for the Outlawz Progressive Freebie Challenge is from Mary at Createful Hearts Designs. The image is titled Ms. Scarecrow With Squirrels and I just love the whole little scene that comes with it! I colored it with Copic markers and popped it up on some tan paper that I sponged on brown and orange Distress Inks. A couple of other papers also matted on the same tan paper and a black/orange twine tied around with a bow finished off my card! Super-easy!!! Here's my card:
Have you ever wondered what to do with these extra cards you make for challenges, etc.? I just kept them in a bin and occasionally used one to send to friends going through different things. However, last month one of the ladies posted on the Facebook page "Copic Cardmaking and Papercrafts" that she needed cards to make a basket for a silent auction that would raise money for the local elementary school. What A Great Idea! So I sent her 39 cards, which she loved! A LOT of baskets can be made with those, and I wasn't the only one that sent her cards. Anyway, always keep your eyes open for things like this where your crafting can be used for great causes! Have a wonderful day!

Sohpie Hearts You

Ok, this is my second time using this image, but I just LOVE it! I feel like I could color it over and over with so many different color combinations. The image is Sophie Hearts You from Lacy Sunshine Coloring and Digital Stamps by Heather Valentin. I subscribe to Kit and Clowder's monthly coloring classes (both the markers and pencils - it's such a bargain!). Although I am unable to color every class project completely, I learn something from every class. Sometimes I even go back to an old class and review a technique to use on an image I am coloring, too. So, here is the card I made with Sophie Hearts You!
I embellished with a hummingbird from Little B (find at your local craft store), some ribbon from Paper Temptress and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Have a great day!

Kindness Is The Way

Hi All! Today I am posting a cool card  I made using a freebie image from Power Poppy called Kindness Is The Way. It was used in the free coloring class offered by Kit and Clowder last month. Power Poppy's images are just beautiful - I love all the detail included in them! The free coloring class includes colors suggested and used by the instructor, Alyce Keegan (Kit and Clowder), but you can use any colors you want. Her free video includes instructions on both pencils and markers. I used Copic markers for my image. Then, I diecut the word HAPPY from the image. I diecut HAPPY 7 more times to glue under the image letters and then glued it all back in place. I mounted it on dark blue cardstock and I really love the finished product! Take a look!

Thank you for looking - Have A Great Day!

Two for the Price of One

Well, I am WAY behind on posts, so I'm just going to go for it and post two cards - Mother's Day and Father's Day. Both were completed using Kit and Clowder monthly classes. The Mother's Day image is from Power Poppy, Hellebores, and uses the Kit and Clowder February 2018 monthly class. Check out the other Power Poppy stamps, I think her flowers are the best! The Father's Day image is from Lily of the Valley, Workbench, and uses the Kit and Clowder FREE March 2018 coloring class (yes, I said FREE!). The Kit and Clowder classes always come with great discounts on the digital stamps used for each one. Here are my two cards and make sure you check out those Kit and Clowder classes, they really are fantastic!

Have a wonderful day!

Heartfelt Love

I've been SO BUSY with cards and travel that I haven't been able to keep up on this blog! And it's not over, so hopefully I'll be able to keep up a little better in the future - we'll see.

I just finished this card for my sister-in-law's birthday. I love this Tiddly Inks image and wasn't quite sure how the card would come together, but, I just winged it and I really like how it turned out. The image is Heartfelt Love and actually comes with 7 different items including a sentiment. I just used the main image and added my own embellishments. I've been taking the coloring lessons from Alyce at Kit and Clowder, too, so I think my coloring is getting better and better. You should check out her classes - they are for markers or pencils, all brands (she has free conversion charts available), and you can do them at your own pace - no rush! Once you've purchased the class(es) you have access to them forever, too! I colored this image with Copic markers and made my own floor and wall behind the image. Here is my card:
Hope you like the card! Thank you for looking and have a great day!
